Oct 2005 visit was a nice experience considering they were tearing up the outside street and making it harder for the owner to operate. This is a small 2 level coffeeshop that because of steep small set of stairs prefer to deliver drinks to you to avoid spills & such. I found this refreshing compared to 98% of the other shops because as most write here, they can be awkwardly rude elsewhere. The owner of the establishment was hanging around the door and inviting people in and also making menu available to those that stepped inside door easement (Law regarding this applies) and was quite nice and formal and wanted your business genuinely. We were not pressed into buying drinks but politely asked, which again was a breath of fresh air. We of course ordered 2 cokes and re-ordered drinks with no problems even though we only purchased a couple grams of weed. The menu was fairly normal aside that this was one of the few places that always had Northern Lights which is the wife's fav. The prices were about average and they did have a wide selection of economy prices (but very potent) Nederlander Hash. The music was not blaring and the atmosphere very nice. Located in an active part of town and located on a prominent corner, this place is hard to miss. Unlike the name would apply, the shop itself did not have a wide variety of sexual products as some other shops offer behind the counter. Simple, clean, and a nice overall visit. This visit warranted a 7.5/10 grade. May 2006 visit was just the opposite of our prior visit. This visit the owner was not present and it obviously reflected on the employee’s ability to offer any type of customer service at all. The menu was the same but they only had 2/3 of the offered items in stock. The place was a little more crowded for this mid-afternoon trip with a lot of out of towners or so it seemed. Perhaps this aided in the attitude of the bartender. We were rudely informed that the bathrooms were not available and that we needed to buy a "premium" pot or quantity to stay. We politely bought 2 different types of weed of which I believe both were under weight. The Northern Lights was not available and the most appealing item they had in stock was AK47, Crystal Lady, & some nice homemade hash covered in kief. We were happy as ever with the hash purchases but the very nice friendly setting had disappeared. I would consider checking the menu and prices here for hash and buy and leave if the price and quality suits you as it has us every visit. 8/10 for the hash quality/variety, 2/10 for service.

This was across the river to the Sensi coffeeshop, and we thought we may aswel check it out for the experience. Upon entrance several people gave us funny looks, and after showing my id the person still tried denying me entry, after my friend pointed out it was my birthday 2days before, he said ok hesitantly and got us some coffees, the general atmosphere was cramped and weird, you just didn't feel relaxed in there.

A small place which we visited last time we were here aswell. Coffee is expensive @ 5 euros for two. I bought a pure joint of White widow and a mix for my Wife. That cost 11.5 Euros which is expensive but worth it. This was very good weed. I was happily wandering the streets after that joint. This is a small place, expensive but has had good weed on both times I visited Amsterdam.

You can sit there and watch the people go by, ritualistic 'stoned position' for us both. You can see the big West African dudes hiding from the police, who constantly chase them away for selling hard drugs. The 'Shit' is good. The 'Shit' is fairly priced. They do not hassle you if you linger a while. They enjoy a chat, and they are always happy morning, noon and night.

Hubby and myself are in our 50s but still enjoy our bud. We visited Extase and bought 2 grams of AK 47. The bud was excellent! Shop keep was helpful and very nice person and believe me I've smoked a lot of bud in my life and their AK47 rocked my clock. It didn't come on for a few minutes but when it did it was great!

Not the greatest (watch out for the pre rolled stuff - crap). However, the upstairs window seat is pretty cool. My advice: sit by the window, bring your own smoke, buy a drink and relax.

Nice if you sit upstairs and can get the window seat . Good plastic - without - being - tacky jungle décor. The Reggae was not so good - could try playing the real stuff rather than the "Poppy" stuff they were playing on 2 occasions when I visited.
